Tollgate charges AI a toll for citations. When an LLM grounds an answer in a creator's source, a micro-USDC toll is routed back to that creator, batched, and settled on Arc Testnet via a viem transfer() in artifacts/api-server/src/lib/settlement.ts. The pnpm monorepo pairs an Express 5 API server (artifacts/api-server, with routes for creators, sources, agents, tolls, batches, and x402) with a React + Vite dashboard (artifacts/tollgate) showing per-creator earnings and a live ledger. Publishers onboard via RSS through artifacts/api-server/src/lib/rss.ts, Drizzle ORM schemas live in lib/db/src/schema, and lib/api-spec/openapi.yaml drives Orval codegen for typed React Query hooks and Zod validation.
