Protocol402
Protocol402 is an embeddable paywall for creator sites. Paste one script tag and every article becomes an x402-priced resource that human readers and AI agents pay for per article in USDC settled on Arc. The TypeScript server builds the embed from server/src/embed and serves machine-readable 402 pricing, while the agent stack under server/src/agent implements auto-pay thresholds (auto-pay.ts), wallets, price negotiation via counteroffer.ts, reputation scoring, subscriptions, and a payment ledger. Human readers get an email-based wallet that auto-pays articles under a threshold they set, so reading stays frictionless. A Next.js front end in web/ provides the creator-facing app, and the full product spec ships in PROTOCOL402_V2_FINAL_PRD.md.
