Proteus AI turns a negotiated service request into a dual-signed, prepaid USDC deal on Arc. The core is contracts/src/DealEscrow.sol, an EIP-712 escrow that funds a deal only when buyer and seller signatures over one Terms struct validate through SignatureChecker (EOA or ERC-1271). It pays the seller only against a buyer-signed Acceptance plus a seller-signed Delivery over the same receiptsRoot and unit count, and anyone can call refundUnused after the term or an early sellerCloseTerm. The owner can pause new deals and never move funds. Foundry fuzz and invariant tests hold deposit = settled + refunded + remaining. DealEscrow is Blockscout-verified on Arc mainnet at 0x5085A8400C95B9Cf0c9a3552cCFf31eA45D06a46 (chain 5042), with real USDC fund, settle and refund transactions. packages/domain/src/pricing.ts prices in bigint micro-USDC with a margin floor, tiers and approval thresholds, and the agent adapters reject any reply that invents a figure. server/src/services/x402.ts adds pay-per-call through Circle's facilitator, agentdocs.ts emits a SKILL.md and OpenAPI spec per service, and services/circle.ts signs the same typed data from Circle user-controlled wallets.
