Obolus lets AI agents buy creator-owned context and pay per-citation royalties. The Next.js app extends Circle's arc-nanopayments reference (credited in NOTICE.md) with a context-asset registry, pay/skip planning, a paid acquisition pipeline, quote-level attribution, and royalty settlement over the x402/Circle Gateway path on Arc Testnet using @circle-fin/x402-batching. A researcher sets a query and a USDC budget; the agent in agent.mts discovers priced assets, buys the ones worth reading, synthesizes a grounded answer with verbatim quotes, and pays royalties by contribution weight. Public receipts render under app/receipt, creator earnings pages under app/creator, and a creator studio at app/studio handles wallet setup and URL ingestion, with pipeline scripts like scripts/obolus-plan-pay-skip.mts and scripts/obolus-settle.mts covering each stage.
