Misthos is a marketplace where the unit of sale is a single GitHub issue. A publisher labels an issue, the GitHub App in backend/src/misthos/services/github/app.py picks up the event, a pricing agent (domain/pricing.py, services/calibration.py) suggests an effort estimate, range and justification, and the publisher names the price and funds a per-issue commitment in MisthosEscrow (contracts/src/MisthosEscrow.sol, with Foundry fuzz and invariant tests) on Arc from their own wallet. A contributor claims the issue and opens a pull request; the review agent in services/review/claude.py judges the diff per acceptance criterion through a strict record_judgement tool, and fixed rules in domain/review.py turn met/unmet into ACCEPT, REWORK or REJECT. On acceptance the attestor (services/attestor.py) releases USDC to the contributor, OFAC screening runs in services/compliance/ofac.py, and workers/sweeper.py refunds expired commitments. The Node edge (edge/src/x402-gate.ts) sells read-only views over x402, answering 402 with a USDC price and settling through Circle Gateway nanopayments, while edge/src/wallet-routes.ts provisions Circle user-controlled wallets.
