ArcNS is a naming and identity layer for Arc — an ENS for Arc that maps human-readable .arc and .circle names to addresses and back, so payment flows, wallets, and explorers can show alice.arc instead of a raw 0x. The on-chain core is deployed and source-verified on Arc mainnet: ArcNSRegistry holds each name's owner and resolver record, ArcNSResolver (behind an upgradeable proxy) returns addresses and text records, ERC-721 registrars mint .arc and .circle names as transferable NFTs, ArcNSReverseRegistrar sets an address's primary name, and ArcNSPriceOracle prices registration in USDC. Forward-confirmed primary names verify the reverse name resolves back to the same address, so a displayed name is trustworthy. Builders integrate directly through the contracts or through public resolution APIs and a subgraph indexer — apps that would rather not touch contracts can still resolve names. It is the addressing layer that Arc's payment, escrow, and wallet apps can plug into.
